Generally speaking, root canal treatment is performed on the soft inside tissue of the tooth known as pulp. During root canal treatment, an opening is made in the top of the tooth and the inflamed or infected pulp is carefully removed. The inside of the root canal is cleaned and shaped and then filled with a bio-compatible material and sealed. Depending on who is restoring the root canal (your referring dentist or our office), our Endodontist will either administer a temporary filling, or one of our restorative dentists can place a crown on the tooth to restore it to full function. As a comprehensive dental center, our Board Certified Endodontist provides comprehensive endodontic services including root canal therapy, root canal re-treatment and root canal surgery (apicoectomy).
Relax. No really, relax. As a comprehensive dental center, we also offer comprehensive sedation dentistry services that range from light (non-IV) to deep (IV) sedation including general anesthesia, administered by a board certified Anesthesiologist, when necessary.
The cost considerations for endodontic-related treatments should include the specific treatments to be performed in addition to sedation fees when indicated. We accept all PPO dental and medical insurance plans and our office offers affordable financing for credit qualified patients.
